About MBTI

MBTI or Myers Briggs Type Indicator is among the most used personality test. The MBTI is as most personalitytest based on the research of Jung.

MBTI works with 16 personalitytypes based on the test persons score on four dimensions/Dichotomies:

  1. Introversion vs. Extroversion
  2. Intuition vs. Sensing
  3. Thinking vs. Feeling
  4. Judging vs. Percieving

Academic researchers have from time to time criticized the Myers Briggs Type Indicator for being lacking validity. For most people, the MBTI is reported to give the same result for 3–4 preferences when the test is administered to the same person more than once.  Some studies have found strong support for construct validity, internal consistency, and test-retest reliability, although variation was observed.
